Finger Eaten Glad For Pet Dogs

Detroit (AFP) - A man in Michigan praises her dog for saving his life by eating his toes are swollen due to illness, as she lay unconscious because of drunkenness.
As reported by Reuters, Jerry Douthett (48) woke up Saturday night, the end of July, at his home in Rockford, Michigan, and found the dog "Jack Russell Terrier" it, Kiko, have been devouring a swollen right toe.
"That dog is always with me lying in bed," said Douthett. "That night, I woke up and looked at my legs, and feet were wet. When I look at it, there is blood and the dog looked at me with a mustache smeared with blood."
Douthett wife, Rosee, immediately took him to hospital where doctors found that he suffered from Type 2 diabetes. His legs were badly infected and surgeons had to amputate the finger rest.
Rosse a certified nurse, had been urging him for several weeks for an infected Douthett leg examined by doctors.
On the night of toe-consuming Kiko, Douthett said he before going out with his wife and drink as much as "six or seven glasses of beer" and two giant servings of margaritas "enough to put gold fish."
The couple said they were amazed that Kiko seems to know Douthett toe infection that requires treatment.
"He ate the infected part and stopped at a healthy bone," said Rosee. "We joked that we should have to pay because the dog was doing half the job with half memakam finger.
