BERLIN (Reuters Life!) - A German company that fired a man because he was stealing electricity worth 1.8 euro cents (two U.S. cents) in fact did not have reasonable grounds to dismiss him, according to a court decision.
The court canceled the company's appeal against his term recovery.
Administrator networking Beel Oliver lost his job after he recharge Segwaynya - two-wheeled vehicles are electrically powered, at work in May 2009.
Once it connects the vehicle with a power source company for 1.5 hours, her boss asked her to withdraw.
Two days later Beel lost their jobs.
Court decided that the dismissal is not appropriate for the violation, especially given the "minimal electricity costs involved, the plaintiff devotion for 19 years, while the fact that other employees fill in their mobile phone batteries and create digital photo frame at the expense of the company without penalty."
